HE-PV Power Relays for Solar Inverters

In solar applications, one or more HE-V relays can disconnect individual solar panels or strings of panels. Reasons for cutting of panels include maintenance, emergency response and bypassing panels with efficiency problems.
Panasonic product solutions include Relays, Passive Components, such as Capacitors, Metal Oxide Varistors, and more. Solar Inverter Systems are also used to convert the direct current (DC) of a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel into an alternating current (AC) which then are fed into commercial or residential electrical grids.
Panasonic's HE-V relay can help solar farms with storage systems that require power relays that can safely cut off high DC voltages.
The relay must cutoff the circuit to prevent abnormal currents that occur from affecting the commercial power supply. Power relays are required as safety measures to protect the power supply system. Relay contacts will be ON during a power outage and use of the stand-alone function is possible.
