A Prototype Design and Development of the Smart Photovoltaic
This study aims to design and develop the prototype models of the smart photovoltaic system blind (SPSB). To achieve this objective, the study defined the properties in three ways: (i) the
Concept of the smart photovoltaic system blind. The SPSB is capable of making a variety of combinations of these three properties (i.e., PV panel, tracking system, and monitoring system) according to the particular circumstances and the user's decision.
The PV blind system combines energy production with shading functions, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of buildings, offering an efficient and design-conscious energy management solution for modern architecture.
Compared with other PV sunshades, the flexible PV blind have significant advantages in energy efficiency, comfort, and building adaptability, making them a key development direction for future green buildings.
The PV system blind can be considered one of the best solutions to provide electricity generated from its PV panel and to reduce the indoor cooling demands through the blind's main function. Thus, this study aimed to design and develop the prototype model of the SPSB.
